The European Parliament voted For War!

On Thursday 19th September, the peoples of Europe encountered the consequences of their own options at the European elections of June 9th, 2024. An overwhelming majority of the European Parliament eventually voted in favour of  the continuity and intensification of the war in Ukraine. More specifically, 425 voted in favour, 131 against and 63 abstained.

The resolution speculated by the belligerent faction of the European Commission and put forward to the European Parliament, demands from the EU countries to waive any restrictions on the western weapons usage so that Ukraine will be able to bomb even Moscow on the pretext of Ukraine’s right to self-defense. It presumes the continuation of the financial and military support, urging the European – NATO member countries to annually provide military support to Ukraine with at least 0.25% of their GDP!  They clearly showed that NATO is the “boss” who fights against Russia.

Not even a sole initiative for EU peace talks with the view to ending the war!

On the contrary, they lit up the green light for attacks deep inside Russia, with long-range western weapons, calling for an expansion and intensification of the war, ostentatiously ignoring the risk of its escalating and developing to a World War. They call for the expansion of the sanctions, regardless of the consequences, the energy poverty, the skyrocketing prices of goods, the store closures, the unemployment, the pension cutbacks, poverty and death! The consequences are bound to affect only the peoples and not the rulers inside the European Parliament, who shamelessly serve the interests of the military-industrial network of NATO and the global elite, which are promoting the war as a financial investment. Being highly dangerous to world peace and submitted to the war-expanding fury of the USA and NATO, they are shooting Europe’s feet with their vote by exposing it to the risk of a nuclear holocaust.

The fateful Members, who voted without any shred of reaction,  faced the following dilemma: either say NO to the risk of developing the war in Ukraine to a World War with Europe lying in the eye of the storm, or say YES to the the global elite’s interests. 425 despicable Members  opted for YES!

As for the Members of the Greek parties, they did not fall short of our expectations:

IN FAVOUR  voted the members  of “New Democrasy” except B. Meimarakis who opted for abstention.

IN FAVOUR voted the members of “PASOK”  except N. Papandreou who opted for abstention.

AGAINST voted the members of the Communist Party of Greece and “Plefsi Eleytherias”

AGAINST voted  K. Arvanitis of SYRIZA while the other three members opted for abstention.

And, what about the three “patriotic” parties? “Those struggling for the people” that is, the “Greek Solution”, “Niki”  and the “Phoní Loyikís”,  did not take a stance at that hard time – they weaseled out of it. They hid behind abstention!

To ordinary people, war is an accumulation of all suffering.

Therefore, the duties and responsibilities of an MP elected by the people are increasing, when an escalating war threatens to destroy their own country even if their country is not directly involved. The Member’s stance,  towards such a crucial issue constitutes a criterion of their overall intentions towards their Greek voters and, above all, towards a people striving for its basic survival needs. The disgusting in favour voters attitude, in compliance with the authority, as well as the cowards who hid with the “hood of abstention” on in order to avoid making a brave decision, is evidence of worthlessness. They are unworthy of respect and esteem.

Once again, EPAM is addressing to the Greek people reminding that the disgraceful brigade of the European Parliament is the outcome of the 60% abstention, the indifferent voting and the malleable conscience of those unsuspicious of the suffering that is promptly upcoming towards, for all of us and our children.
